Google map with Live View AR

Google company has introduced a new feature to Google Maps. It is the new update with the ability to get Live Views in Maps through augmented reality. This is currently released for Android and iOS phones only for a few cities like London, Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. Google has said that it will release this for all countries in the future.

When the user holds the phone and points it towards the surrounding world, unique stations such as ATMs, coffee shops, or other famous stations are shown in real-time. If you are in a city where you can search with Live View, tap on the camera button in the Google Maps search bar and then point the phone's camera to the surrounding buildings and places, and a pop-up will show details about those landmarks. By clicking on the dots there, you can know more information about those stations.

Here are some more updates. Among them, when you search for EV charging stations, the stations that can charge the battery more quickly can be filtered and displayed.

Besides that, another feature is the accessible places. It shows whether the searched destination is wheelchair-accessible. This update is currently released worldwide.

Another feature is that when the user searches for a specific meal, it shows details about restaurants nearby where the user can get that meal.

Also, with the Multi search method, it is now possible to make a more accurate search using images and text. Google has said that it will introduce some other new features, but it has yet to announce proper information about it.
