If you have a new iPhone 14, you can not ride a roller coaster. it's calling 911.
The iPhone 14's new crash detection feature notifies authorities when it detects that you've been in a car accident, and now detects a bug that calls the police through 911 on its roller coaster rides.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the iPhone 14's Crash Detection feature has reportedly been activated on numerous occasions after mistaking hard braking on a rollercoaster for a real emergency.
Gyroscopic sensors and high-g accelerometer devices trained on the impact experienced with simulated car accidents, if the sensors detect that you're in an accident if you don't dismiss the alert within 20 seconds, your iPhone Crash Detection auto activates and calls emergency services.
It plays an audio message to alert the authorities when you are involved in an accident, and this feature also provides the authorities with your location.
Since the iPhone 14 went on sale, the 911 dispatch center near Kings Island amusement park has received at least six phones calls saying:

“The owner of this iPhone was in a severe car crash...”
Except, the owner was just on a roller coaster.

This tweet shows iPhone 14 user WSJ reporter Joanna Stern calling 911 during a roller coaster ride at Kings Island amusement park in Cincinnati. You can also hear screams in the background of the rollercoaster as the automated message plays.
That doesn't mean you should avoid roller coasters if you have the new iPhone 14 or Apple Watch. You can prevent emergency calls by temporarily putting the device in airplane mode or disabling the feature in settings.
