The latest controversy sparked is Ai's got first place in a drawing competition
The Internet has been embroiled in an endless dispute after it was revealed that the design that won first place in an art competition held in Colorado, America, was made through artificial intelligence.
"Théâtre D'opéra Spatial" by Jason Allen is submitted to the competition in Colorado, the USA under the category "Digital Arts / Digital Manipulated Photography". It was later revealed that in addition to the above name given to the design, he had also taken steps to mention it as Jason Allen via Midjourney. But because many people do not know that the Midjourney Ai Platform is one that creates art with Ai, the organizing committee had not paid attention to this.
This design won first place under Digital Manipulation and its owner, Jason Allen, revealed through Twitter that it was created through Artificial Intelligence, and the internet started heating up. Many people argue that there is a big contradiction between a human being spending a lot of time using a brush and a canvas or using computers to make a design and something that is created in a few seconds by typing a few words.
However, in the future, even someone who does not know the craft can easily make artistic creations - experts who have learned the craft through this are also warned that the demand in that field will decrease or disappear completely. The disappearance of live artists in Sri Lanka's billboard advertisements with computers and printing technology can be seen as a bad aspect of such technologies.
Below is the story that took place on Twitter
