Meet Samsung’s Newest Virtual Avatar, G∙NUSMAS | Whimsical Employee of Out of This World

     Behind the headquarters of Samsung Electronics lives an employee from a planet not unlike ours. He also helps to increase creativity and develop new technologies. Through a series of mysterious events, this colorful creature became Samsung's top secret engineer. Called G·NUSMAS, this alien is the newest member of Samsung.

G∙ NUSMAS

     A small, blue alien with big, beady eyes is Samsung's latest Avatar. Every time Samsung releases a new unique product they want to claim that they are getting help from aliens. Samsung has brought this alien to design and develop new technologies.

     Samsung created G·NUSMAS to connect with younger generations, especially Millennial and Generation Z (MZ) consumers. "By letting our colorful and talented aliens show the public the different sides of Samsung, I hope our customers can become more familiar with our brand." This is YH Lee.

     The name 'G∙ NUSMAS' is derived from the backward alignment of the name 'Samsung'. This alien home planet is Nowus-129, 100 million light-years away from Earth. The planet is named after the name of 129-Suwon, South Korea, which is the headquarters of the Samsung company.

     Samsung plans to release a series of short videos to explain the story behind G·NUSMAS. The story begins with its birth and accidental arrival on Earth.

     G∙NUSMAS will be unveiled at IFA 2022 and the story of G∙NUSMAS will be released on September 2 through Samsung's social media channels such as YouTube and Facebook, as well as through Samsung.com. Customers can also communicate with G∙NUSMAS through social media, metaverse, and other digital channels.
