A preparation of the Samsung company to remove the letter Z from the foldable smartphone?

    Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fold device as their first foldable smartphone in 2019. After that in 2020, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip were introduced and the Galaxy Z Series was introduced for their foldable smartphones. Accordingly, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones were released in 2021. This year, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are scheduled to be launched as the next devices of this Galaxy Z Series.

    However, according to the latest information reported from the Samsung company, it cannot be expected that their foldable smartphone will be called Galaxy Z in the future. Accordingly, the foldable smartphones Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 to be launched next week will not use the letter "Z".

    The reasons for this appear to be the use of the letter "Z" by the Russian forces. Also, the letter "Z" was used by Russian forces during the war made by Russia against Ukraine. As they use the letter "Z" with the meaning of "za pobedu" for victory, Samsung is motivated to take this decision.

    Also, Samsung has already removed the letter "Z" from the Galaxy Foldable Devices released for European countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Accordingly, Galaxy Fold 3 and Flip 3 have been released in those countries in that way.
