MediaTek is set to overtake the chipset market for Android phones, surpassing others.

MediaTek

According to IDC, MediaTek has become the number one Android smartphone chipset supplier in the fourth quarter of 2021. Its market share is 48.1% for MediaTek and 43.9% for Qualcomm. This report is based on the United States.

According to the same report, this success is due to the sale of Samsung's A12 and A32 phones, as well as phones manufactured by Motorola's G Pure Dimension Chipset powered by T-mobile and Boost Mobile carrier companies.

However, Counterpoint Research reports that Qualcomm owns 55% of the Android smartphone chipset market share, while MediaTek owns only 37%. Those data records are based on the United States. However, MediaTek is currently fast advancing in the Low and Midrange categories, with last month's Density 8000 series accelerating it even further.
