Microsoft is set to buy the Activision and Blizzard with games for $ 69 billion.

Activision Blizzard

Microsoft has officially announced the acquisition of Activision Blizzard for $ 68.7 billion. Accordingly, Microsoft will buy one share of Activision Blizzard for $ 95 each. At the same time, Microsoft will be ranked third in the world's game publisher list, followed by Tencent and Sony at number one and number two, respectively.

With this acquisition, Microsoft will have a large range of games including Activision, Blizzard, and King studios' Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Candy Crush. At the same time, Microsoft is preparing to offer its subscription service for Activision Blizzard Games to its 25 million subscribers. Microsoft's idea is to promote Xbox Cloud Gaming through this.

Activision Blizzard currently has over 400 million active players per month and employs 10,000 people. Following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, the number of game development studios will increase to 30.

The transaction is yet to be finalized and it is expected to be completed by the middle or end of this year, subject to regulatory scrutiny and approval. However, the directors of both companies have agreed to the deal and Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard, will remain in office until its completion.

I think this is Microsoft's readiness to gain more power in Metaverse. You will be able to watch a lot of big news like this in the future. What do you think? Comment below.
